About

I am a largely self-taught programmer, systems administrator, MacAdmin, homelabber, engineer, and nerd. I studied economics at Berkeley and went to work in finance, but kept saying yes and ended up in charge of the tech stack. I automated myself out of that job and went looking for bigger problems to solve.

Right now I'm a Senior Site Reliability Engineer and half the infrastructure team at Bonfy.ai, an AI data security startup. Previously, I worked as an SRE at VMware (now Broadcom) supporting VMware Cloud and as a DevOps engineering consultant at Taos (now an IBM company) in the Bay Area. Before that, I headed up technology and data efforts at Mraz Amerine & Associates, a Registered Investment Advisor in Northern California.

Outside of work I run Oakland LEARN, a non-profit school that teaches kids at the level they're actually at and doesn't waste their time.
